I'm getting "Illegal character in Path" error creating a new blank node.js console app using the default path.
I have also tried using c:\Temp and get the same error.
c:\users\pclymer\documents\visual studio 2013\Projects
Comments: I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you give us some more information: 1. Is this with Alpha or Dev 2013-12-17 build? 2. Is it a fatal error ie. your new project isn't created/doesn't load? 3. Can you check on disk to see if the directory was created and if there are any files in it? 4. Do you see the same behavior with the other project templates? 5. Do you have Node.js installed?
